New Jersey Morehouse Alumni Chapter

morehouseMorehouse Men are not only concerned about their own individual achievements and intellectual pursuits, but those of the community as well! The Northern New Jersey Morehouse College Alumni Association (Alumni Association) will increase visibility in the eyes of the local community as well as the Morehouse community. We will affect positive change in the community by our involvement in community affairs and scholarship granting. African mango We will live by the moral standards of Morehouse College, and take the position of leadership in our communities.

We plan to increase membership Plaque Attack and create an atmosphere that will serve as a safe haven for members to network, fellowship, and to serve as a support base for our members.

This is a great time to get Slim TS active with your alumni association. Recently, I visited our “Dear Old Morehouse” where I picked up the latest Morehouse Magazine (Summer ’07), affiliate marketing which you should all get in the mail shortly. Thanks to Brother Victor Chambers II- in his article entitled “Northern New Jersey Chapter Holds Inaugural Scholarship to Leadership Gala” on page 52, we have a half page article.

The Scholarship to Leadership Gala, was a great success due largely to your participation Atlanta bankruptcy attorney and enthusiasm. This year we are trying to do much more. We have already started the process and look forward to seeing more Morehouse Men this year!

This year I am happy to announce that the regional conference, which is being Suzanne Somers diet lead by our Regional VP, Nashon Hornsby, is expected to be held here in NJ in April.

With the current state of Black America, it is definitely a prime time for Morehouse Men Right to Bare Legs to step up to the plate to help pave a path for the next generation to follow.

The Second Annual Scholarship Gala for the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the Morehouse College Alumni Association (“NJ Morehouse Alumni Association) and the United HGH Energizer Negro College Fund – New Jersey Division (“UNCF”) are preparing the event of a life time!

Everyone please save this date, we definitely want everyone’s participation. If you are interested, please contact us using the Contact Us link above.

All those who want to secure their seats immediately may mail their checks to: Attn: UNCF/Morehouse Alumni Gala, United Negro College Fund, 9-25 Alling Street, Newark NJ 07102. Please make your checks payable to the UNCF and include a reference on the check to UNCF/Morehouse Alumni Gala. The cost for the event is $150.00 per ticket and your contributions are tax deductible. I also request that on a separate sheet of paper you indicate the names of the individuals you are paying for, so that we may ensure your guests are listed on the roster for the Gala.

Please save the date for the first annual Morehouse/Spelman get together scheduled for November 17, 2007 at Fornos in Newark NJ. Timing details will be announced as soon as arrangements are finalized.
Brothers come out and represent!  This is a great opportunity to network, have fun, met new people and think back on those crazy school days.

This will be our first collaborated event (Spelhouse) so lets make it a success!
